Good Morning readers!

I have asked the head leaders of both teams to share for this blog post.

"Sometimes in life we have our plans that make sense and they work out pretty decently.  Other times in life God has His plans that work out perfectly.  It is the intersection of these plans where ministry happens.  On Tuesday we went to a local park to meet people and build relationships with those we encountered.  There was an overwhelming sense that we needed to return and catch up with the people we met.  And so we did.  We had a great idea to do the same thing as Tuesday, meeting people and playing games.  The exciting thing is when God’s plans intersect with ours.  We had a few watermelons, water bottles, and a table.  What we needed was a big pile of kids who were hungry and thirsty.  And that’s exactly what we found.  Without any kind of schedule or plan, all of the necessary ingredients showed up and ministry happened.  We met new people, connected with those we met on Tuesday, and enjoyed serving God and others.
What does ministry look like?  It looks like people being yielded to the Holy Spirit and being willing to be stretched.  It looks like God’s children being willing to serve and excited to see His plans come together."

"The awesome part about these mission trips is not only reaching out to people but also watching our kids grow – spiritually, socially, emotionally.  We’ve met so many awesome people and have made friends for life.  God is so good to lead us in ways we haven’t been stretched before. Sometimes it isn’t fun at the time, but we look back and say how great that was! Everyone is healthy, although a bit tired. And everyone is having a great time."

Hope y'all have a day filled with great joy from our Heavenly Father! 🙂
