Vacation BIble School in Butte!

Vacation Bible School
 
 We have been given the opportunity to serve the Legion Oasis Apartments with Vacation Bible School this week. I have asked a few students to write something about their experience or a story. Here is what they had to say…..

I love watching the kids get so excited about the Bible stories. One little boy, Cory was like “He came back to life?! That’s awesome!!”

I was able to do the first two puppet plays and it was really hard and tiring but I had fun doing it. Also I did toilet tag in the weirdest way I have ever done it!!! We had to sit on their knee and flush their arm (weird.) Although, I am enjoying it a lot and by the way if you ever let Jenny drive, don’t make her laugh.

This has been an amazing experience to have and has made my boring summer in the middle of nowhere more interesting.  To touch the lives of these kids like we have is a blessing and it is exciting to see how much energy and joy they have to sing… no scream their songs and praises out loud. A much as I am looking forward to sleep in my own bed, I will never regret this week.

I did the first three puppet plays and now my arm is still extremely sore. The VBS is really fun, it is exhilarating to see little kids come to know the Lord. It is really cool to see that, because then the kids go home and tell their parents about Jesus. It is so fun to meet people that already know the Lord, because then you know that there are Christians in Butte, even though there are few. This has been an extremely fun trip, the laughs, the tears of joy, and all of the slug bugs and bruiser cruisers. –Rachel Ressler

God has been moving in the Legion Oasis Apartments and we are having a great time!
